LEARN TO PLAY
If you have always wanted to learn the Highland Bagpipes or if Highland drumming is your thing, plan to join us. We meet once a week. Currently we are holding practice at 6:30 PM, Thursdays at the North Park Baptist Church, located at 2605 Rex Cruse Dr. in Sherman TX. You are welcome to sit in on a practice, meet everyone and see if piping and drumming is for you.

If you want to play the pipes please do not go out and buy bagpipes. This is getting the cart before the horse. Students are started out on a practice chanter where you will learn the proper fingerings. Transitioning to the pipes comes later.
HIRE THE BAND
Nothing is as special or inspirational as a piper. We can provide pipers for funerals, birthdays, weddings, memorials, concerts, street marches, parades and other public engagements
Private functions (e.g. birthdays, funerals, weddings, memorials and important occasions. We can even arrange to present the entire band for private and corporate functions.

Solo pipers can be available to play events and funerals depending on the date needed and the pipers prior commitments..
MAKE A DONATION
We are a dynamic and growing nonprofit band with both short term and long term goals. We depend on donations both big and small and vending of merchandise helps us offset travel expenses, supplies and uniform expenses. We are truly a community pipe band made up of people that live and work in the North Texas area.

The Shields of Honor Pipes and Drums is in the process of upgrading the band's class A uniform. This will include a tunic or jacket, cross belt and horse hair sporran. It is taking quite a bit of our budget to do so but we feel that we owe it to the people we serve to be turned out and looking as shape as we sound.
